With impact officer Oskar Jonsson, SWEAH will strengthen approaches to collaboration, user involvement and community engagement based on the research and activities conducted within SWEAH. PhD students affiliated with SWEAH will now be involved in his work.

During the spring I will review all theses produced within SWEAH the last three years, says Oskar Jonsson.

He focuses on how collaboration with other societal actors and the implications of research are described in the theses. General patterns will be described, and the thesis projects will be categorized into themes.

Then Oskar Jonsson will develop a checklist for integrated knowledge translation, a tool for SWEAH PhD students for self-evaluation of integrated knowledge transformation.

– All SWEAH’s PhD students will be invited to test the checklist and later in the autumn they will be invited to a workshop, to give their feedback and discuss how to develop it further, Oskar Jonsson continues.

After that he will identify needs and areas for practical support for integrated knowledge translation, utilization and societal impact. SWEAH’s PhD students will be involved also in that, in a workshop in connection with the PhD Student Days in Falun November 4-5.
