Collaboration outside academia is now being strengthened

WHO model
The seven elements of WHO Framework for Knowledge Translation on Ageing and Health.

SWEAH is committed to strengthening approaches to collaboration, user involvement and community engagement based on the research and activities conducted within the graduate school. Now SWEAH PhD students can use a tool to enhance how they connect research with collaborators outside of academia, increase the visibility of research, as well as enhance societal impact.

SWEAH offers workshops to further develop this knowledge and skills:

  • 2025-09-16 at 9-10 am. Online workshop 1) Knowledge Acquisition: Participants will gain a deeper understanding of integrated knowledge translation.
  • 2025-10-15 at 9-10 am. Online workshop 2) Skill Development: Participants will learn and practice using the self-evaluation checklist for integrated knowledge translation systematically.
  • 2025-11-04 at 4-5 pm. Bridging the gap between research and practice. Lecture and discussion on collaboration with actors outside academia at the PhD Student Days in Falun.

The graduate school has appointed researcher Oskar Jonsson as Impact Officer and responsible for SWEAH's collaborative work, he is the one who holds the meetings.
