Postdoctoral assignments within SWEAH 2026
As a SWEAH alumna or alumnus, do you want to stay actively engaged in SWEAH after your PhD defense? Now is the chance to apply for one or several of eight postdoc assignments within SWEAH for 2026.
The assignments are open to all alumni, you don’t need to have an employment as a postdoctoral fellow. The group of postdocs commissioned for these assignments will have regular contact during the year. Aiming to form a creative postdoc team for mutual support and development, the postdocs selected will assign one the responsibility as the convenor of meetings and activities of the team.

We are happy to discuss individual suggestions, such as combinations of assignments. The hourly salary is based on the teacher salary level agreement at the Faculty of medicine, Lund University. The assignments will to a large extent be performed as distance work, with occasional meetings in person in Lund or elsewhere. Travel costs related to the assignments will be covered by SWEAH.

Assistance to the SWEAH study coordinator
You will assist the study coordinator in strategic planning and preparation of activities within SWEAH. You will be a part of the SWEAH pedagogical group. The pedagogical group is convened by the study coordinator and responsible for pedagogical development of SWEAH, including quality development and evaluations. The group meets 4-6 times per year and assists in planning courses, developing course syllabi and content, as well as other SWEAH student activities.
Assignment workload 90 hours over the year.

Assistant course leader in the spring course 2026
SWEAH Core Curriculum course Theories of Ageing (start spring 2026 at Lund University).
As assistant course leader you will assist the course leader in preparing the course, leading workshops and giving feedback to students on assignments. In addition, you could be asked to report on course matters to SWEAH’s pedagogical group. Start spring 2026.
Assignment workload: 40 hours during the duration of the course.
Coordination and preparation of partner agreements
SWEAH is financed by 13 partner universities from 2022 until the end of 2026. You will prepare an extended partner agreement together with the SWEAH management and representatives from the partner universities.
In addition, this assignment includes support to the coordinator in applying for external funding for SWEAH.
Assignment workload: 90 hours over the year.

Assistant course leader in the autumn course 2026
SWEAH Core Curriculum course Societal Communication and Impact of Research on Ageing and Health (start autumn 2026 at Örebro University)
As assistant course leader you will assist the course leader in preparing the course, leading workshops and giving feedback to students on assignments. In addition, you could be asked to report on course matters to SWEAH’s pedagogical group. Start autumn 2026.
Assignment workload: 40 hours during the duration of the course.
Member of the SWEAH board, 2026.
As the alumni representative in the SWEAH board you will activly engage in four half- to full-day meetings over the year, which includes preparatory work based on distributed meeting material. One or two of the meetings will be IRL in Lund or at other partner universities; the remaining meeting/s will be online. Travel costs will be covered by SWEAH. This assignment is for one year but will be extended until Dec 31 2027 depending on the renewed partner agreement.
A honorarium of SEK 1,100 per will be paid for each attended meeting.

Responsible for PhD student activities
Within frames given by the study coordinator and research administrator you will coordinate planning and execution of SWEAH PhD student activities. Because of SWEAH’s conference in November 2026, there will only be one PhD student day – taking place in the spring. However, additional student activities could be arranged, for example, online seminars during the year. You will form a working group and do the planning in cooperation with two student representatives under the scientific lead of the study coordinator. You could be asked to report to the SWEAH pedagogical group. An additional task is to assist and act as a discussion partner to SWEAH’s communications officer when it comes to communicating PhD student activities in social media or other channels.
Assignment workload: 40 hours over the year.
Responsible for a scientific study about SWEAH
You will take an active role in developing one scientific study based on SWEAH activities, including data collection and analysis.

Coordinator of SAIN activities
SWEAH Alumni Interdisciplinary Network, SAIN, was an initiative by a group of early SWEAH alumni. The coordinator will have the responsibility to sustain and further develop the SAIN network. The assignmnet includes forming and convening a steering group. The steering group will, for example, apply for grants and arrange member activities.
Assignment workload: 40 hours over the year.
