Societal Communication and Impact of Research on Ageing and Health, 3 credits

Upcoming course fall 2026, Örebro University

During the course, you will:

- Learn why communication with societal actors is central for a researcher in ageing and health 
- Adapt your communication to different target audiences 
- Engage in hands-on workshops with course teachers and communication experts
- Create your own communication item on your research topic (e.g., a blog, podcast, media interview)
- Present your research for older adults and get their views and feedback
- Explore how participatory research can be applied in your field of study
- Network with course participants and ageing researchers during a 2-day workshop at Örebro University

Admission requirements

To gain access to the course and complete the examinations included in the course, the applicant must be admitted to a doctoral program at a Swedish University.

Selection

Selection between applicants who have been admitted to doctoral programs at a university is made according to the following order of precedence:
1. Applicants affiliated with the research school “SWEAH”.
2. Applicants admitted to doctoral programs at Örebro University
3. Applicants admitted to doctoral programs at any other university.
